Jonathan Lasnier is a PhD candidate under the supervision of Dr. Natalie Durand-Bush in the School of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. His research project focuses on investigating the interplay between exercise-induced pain management, performance, and mental health in elite endurance athletes. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Montreal and completed his Master of Human Kinetics degree in Intervention and Consultation at the University of Ottawa.

Jonathan is also a Mental Performance Consultant (MPC) and a professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA). As an MPC, he facilitates the development of mental skills that lead to performance enhancement, optimal well-being, and personal holistic development. He has worked with varsity athletes as well as provincial, national, and international level athletes of various sport disciplines (e.g., track and field, cross-country, swimming, triathlon, diving, gymnastics, fencing, judo, basketball, football, volleyball). Other performance-based settings where he delivered his services include the education and trades industry.

Jonathan is a former cross-country, track and field, baseball, soccer, and flag-football athlete. He has also coached cross-country and track and field for six years. He loves immersing himself into unfamiliar sporting cultures and getting involved in various major sporting events. Striving to grow daily, Jonathan is passionate about learning, personal development, and helping others maximize their potential.
